I live in Lake San Marcos, called in on the hottest day of the summer (so far) because my AC wasn't working (I haven't used it in years, but I have a dog now). Carl answered and told me that today is the busiest day, so he couldn't come out (very politely), but he would call me first thing in the morning to set something up the next day, which he did and I respect that. Came around 2:30pm next day, took apart the AC to make sure nothing looks out of the ordinary. Find out there was no power going to the AC unit, circuit breaker had to get reset. Also, he did something else but I forgot. Made sure with a temperature gauge that the right intake/outtake was happening at the AC unit. Gave me some recommendations, but everything seems to be working :) Also, did me the favor by checking on my dog and made sure she's eating. Couldn't be happier, hence the 5 stars. Took him about 1 and 1/4 hrs, which costed $150 (I thought it was a $85 trip charge, then let me know if any work needs to be done, only thing that I kinda didn't like). I would hire again for the next job, just ask how much per hour he charges to fix/install the unit up front.

We were in a real time pinch and needed an HVAC estimate asap in order to remove contingencies on our prospective new home. Two other HVAC companies had already not shown up as scheduled.

Carl promised to squeeze us in and showed up later in the day. He gave us a written quote by the next morning. We bought the house and called to get the work done.

The workers were professional and friendly. They cleaned up after both days of work and Carl, the owner, returned to make sure everything was done correctly. We discovered an additional problem with the air conditioning unit and Carl stayed for over an hour to fix it--at no charge.


Carl obviously takes great pride in his reputation and work. Both his workers had only positive things to say about working for Carl and the company.

Carl is fantastic. He did an AC addition to our existing central heating and I cannot recommend him enough. Throughout the process he stayed in close touch despite the heatwave and no doubt a bunch of service calls. He worked very carefully and made sure we had AC working before he left despite some issues the thermostat I had purchased. At every point along the way when I had questions, he took the time to explain what was happening and choices I could make. It was truly 5-star service- I highly recommend working with Carl!

My wife and I used Mannino H & C once before to install a Nest thermostat and a few maintenance items. After hours on Friday I called and left a message for Carl that our air conditioner had stopped producing cold air. Early on Saturday he called back to say he would try and fit us in his schedule for that day. Luckily he found the time and with a few parts he had available on his truck got our system functioning again. We truly appreciated his extra effort. And it was just in time; another heat wave is on the horizon!

I can't believe that I haven't reviewed before! Carl had been servicing our old dinosaur AC system for a few years now. Let's face it...a brand new system can be really expensive and Carl worked with us to help squeeze as much life out of it as we possibly could until it choked out its last breath. He got us a great deal on a new AC system that works perfectly at a great price. He's a good, honest, decent guy...which is probably one of the highest compliments you can give nowadays. Fact.

The company is run by a trustworthy and hardworking man! It's a Saturday two days before Christmas. I called Mannino this morning because our heater was not working days before our house would be filled with guests. I have never used them before. The owner himself squeezed us into his schedule and showed up that afternoon after he had made his other calls. And worked for 2 hours to help us fix our heater instead of telling us to buy a new heater, he ran his diagnostics and went above and beyond to rule out other reasons why it wasn't working and saved us the bill of a new heating unit. All with a happy spirit. A Christmas miracle, he is now our go to cooling and heating company. Thank you Carl!

Definitely use Carl for your HVAC needs. Mannino was the cheapest quote I received for central AC install by over $1000. The job took longer than expected due to having to unexpectedly relocate some of the original equipment, but they stayed into the evening and finished the job the same day. Couldn't be happier with the price and service.

We were having issues with our furnace. Called Mannino after reading yelp reviews. Carl worked around my schedule and even showed up on weekend. He worked with me to diagnose and resolve the issue. Seemed honest about what might be the problem and didn't try to sell anything extra. Cost was quite reasonable.

Best experience, the owner answered the phone when I called, sent a great installer of my air condition. Sam was sooo very nice and respectful. The price was good with no unexpected costs. Thank you

Fred was extremely helpful in getting our A/C back up and get running after it died during the first major heatwave of the year! This company is definitely a recommend.

Awesome experience. A/C broke yesterday so I called and left a message which was promptly returned this morning by the owner. Carl was here by noon and was able to immediately identify the problem and fix it for a fraction of what I thought I was going to have to pay. Most A/C guys will immediately try to convince you to buy a new system but Carl was actually the opposite and left me with the confidence of knowing that my 20+ year old system actually still has plenty of good years ahead of it. He was prompt, professional and an honest shooter. He now has another loyal customer!

Carl was very friendly and explained things in very simple terms. He fixed our A/C within 45 minutes. Great prices and excellent, reliable service!
